How Jake Broe Became the War’s Top Analyst: “Donald Trump is working for the Russians”

Jake Broe’s background is exactly why I held out hope for him. By his own public description, he is a U.S. Air Force veteran who served as a Nuclear and Missile Operations Officer. That matters. Men formed by nuclear command-and-control problems, by failure-intolerant systems, and by the realities of trust inside structures that cannot survive betrayal are more likely than most to eventually see through political theater and identify hostile alignment for what it is.
So when Jake finally says, out loud, that President Trump is “working for the Russians,” it does not strike me as a random conversion. It strikes me as a trained mind finally accepting what the pattern has made unavoidable.
My own background came at the same problem from the research side. Jake dealt with these issues on the ground floor. I dealt with them in the technical and strategic frame that makes sense of why such systems are built the way they are. That is why, when I say Jake’s analysis of the war is now the gold standard, I am not speaking as a mere spectator or fan. I know what the standard is. I know it from the academic side, from the technical side, and from the strategic side.
I build tent poles. Jake provides the tactical covering stretched over them. He sees the day-to-day choices, the moving parts, the battlefield logic, the alliance pressures, the coercive maneuvers. I look on from a higher-order lens. But it is that lens that let’s me know who is reading the structure correctly and who is still lost in the fog.
Too many retired generals and prestige commentators are still getting President Trump, NATO, and the war wrong because they are overreading formal status and underreading systemic betrayal. Their careers did not force them to grapple with these questions in the same way. Jake’s did. Mine did, if only from the research side of the house. So when I say that in his latest video Jake appears 100% on target, I do not mean merely that I agree with him politically. I mean that his tactical reading now coheres with the deeper strategic architecture of the conflict. And once he crossed that threshold, there is no one else in the popular analyst space who is even close to him.
That is all to say, in this latest video, Jake Broe is not merely persuasive. He is structurally correct. Donald Trump is working for the Russians.
